What if the Sign-up Page does not load

Sometimes the Signup page may be slow to load or may not load at all.
First disconnect from the park wifi and then reconnect. After your device successfully connects wait at least 30 seconds for the page to load. If it still does not load open the browser on your device and try to load a page such as www.go.com.

If this still does not load the signup page contact support at info@mccueconsulting.ca

What if I have a Weak Signal

While a weak signal is not ideal it may not prevent you from being able to use the internet.

First check and see if you are able to use the internet. A good test would be Facebook or YouTube. If it loads fine you are all set.

If you have tried using it and it will not work or does not work well you should try turning off your wireless on your device, and then turn it back on and reconnect to the Park Wifi.

If the above steps have not resolved your issues you should contact support at info@mccueconsulting.ca

How to Turn off MAC Randomization

The most common reason you would get disconnected prematurely is having Private Address or Random MAC address turned on. The System we use tracks users by the unique MAC address. If you have this feature enabled, every time you connect to the wireless network your device creates a random address to identify itself with. The system will not be able to identify that you have paid and will ask you to pay again.

Turn private address off on an Apple Device

iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  1. Open the Settings app, then tap Wi-Fi.
  2. Tap the information button  next to a network.
  3. Tap Private Address. (You may have to rejoin the network with your real MAC address)

Turn off Random Mac on Android Devices

Phones running the Android 10 operating system (aka Android Q) have a new feature that randomizes the MAC address for different WiFi connections. This feature is enabled by default, but can be disabled for specific WiFi networks.

How many Devices can I use?

Each plan is for a single Device unless specified otherwise.
If you would like to purchase for multiple devices you can choose a Multi Device Monthly or Season Plan. These two plans include 5 Additional Device Vouchers.
If you require more than 6 device you can upgrade to a dedicated service plan or contact us for more vouchers.

What Kinds of Speeds Can I expect?

We rate limit each device to approximately 5Mbit/sec. This is sufficient to stream video from Youtube, Netflix, or Amazon Prime. Live TV may not work well on this speed. If you are wanting to watch Live TV we recommend upgrading to a Direct Connection.

Can I try the WiFi for Free?

We do offer a free trial, that can be used to try out the service.
The trial includes approximately 300MB of Data and is available for 8 hours or until the data is used up. The free trial renews every 14 days to prevent abuse.
To access the Free Trial simply sign on to the Park Wifi, and when the captive portal page loads scroll to the bottom and read and accept the terms of use and click on “Free Trial”

Are the Plans Unlimited?

We offer a variety of plans to try to ensure we have the best fit for each customer.
As a rule all plans are unlimited unless specified otherwise.
Plans that are limited will have the amount of included Data listed in the Title and will generally be called ‘Lite’

Can I use my Smart TV on the WiFi?

Most newer smart TV’s are compatible with Captive Portal Authenticated WiFi networks.
We offer many plans that will work great for streaming your favourite show.
If you are unable to connect your Smart TV to the WiFi because it does not support signing onto a captive portal, you have a couple different options
1. Purchase a new WiFi Capable Streaming Device (Apple TV, Kindle Fire TV Stick, Roku)
2. Contact us for alternate sign on options at info@mccueconsulting.ca

Is it Safe

While the Nework may show as being unsafe because it is an Open network, rest assured it is secured. As soon as you log on to the network a captive portal is displayed asking you to sign in. From the moment the portal is displayed all of your data is encrypted and passed safely over the network to the internet.

We use Signed and Certified SSL Certificates that ensure your communications are safe when passing through our network.

Can I use my own router?

We offer a Dedicated Service Plan that allows you to use your own router to distribute internet inside of your trailer. For more details see “Dedicated Service”

How do I pay for a Wifi Plan?

All payments are handled through the Captive Portal of the Guest Network, and requires a credit card.
When you connect to the open WiFi network a page will load that displays all of your options. Select the option that works best for you and then enter the required details to complete the purchase. Once the purchase is complete a success page will load and your device will be connected to the internet.
If you have purchased a Multi Device plan send an email to info@mccueconsulting.ca to request the required number of vouchers for your devices.

What if I have more than 6 Devices?

If you have a large number of devices you may be better suited going with a Dedicated Service option. If that option will not work for you or you would prefer to get more vouchers for your device please contact us at info@mccueconsulting.ca for your options.

What is Dedicated Service?

If you need more speed or prefer the added security of a segregated local WiFi network we offer a ISP like solution. The way it works is we install a radio on your trailer that is programmed to link into our primary network. This allows us to offer much higher speed options and lower latency. From the Radio a shielded ethernet cable is brought into your trailer that can be connected to the WAN port of your existing router, or a router supplied by us.
This service includes a 10/10mbit plan and can be increased if required.

This service is not available in all locations.
This service requires installation with costs starting at $200
